In Mr. Ziebarth’s class, we’ve started discussing issues with society and what we can do to change them. This sort of ties into the story that we’re, Grapes of Wrath. John Steinbeck saw a problem with America – the discardment of family farms and ignoring/taking advantage of desperate families – and wrote book to tell try to help solve this problem. Now, whether his book actually succeeded in making people’s lives better or only served to tell their story, I’m not really sure. What matters is that Steinbeck actually took action to try to solve a problem with our society. Instead of simply identifying a problem and complaining about it, like some people do, Steinbeck actually did something.
Now here’s where I’m gonna do something I haven’t done yet on this blog – talk to you. Do you have any problems that bother you with our society, and if so, what can you do about it? Now, I’m still convinced that only a couple people read this blog, but if the two of you would be so kind as to share and interact, I’d love you deeply for it.
